Many products and projects completed by Kodiak Gates & Iron are custom fabricated specifically for the customer's property and project requirements.
Because custom fabrication involves individualized design, measurements, materials, finishes, and labor:
- All custom orders are considered unique products.
- Fabrication may begin after design approval and deposit receipt.
- Modifications requested after fabrication begins may result in additional charges and schedule adjustments.
Custom fabricated products may contain slight variations that are consistent with handcrafted metal fabrication and do not constitute defects.
5. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate project information
- Providing access to the work site
- Verifying measurements when requested
- Reviewing and approving designs
- Obtaining HOA approvals when required
- Obtaining permissions from property owners when applicable
Kodiak Gates & Iron is not responsible for delays caused by customer actions, third parties, permit issues, utility conflicts, weather, or circumstances outside of our control.
6. Project Scheduling
Project timelines are estimates only.
Completion dates may be affected by:
- Material availability
- Weather conditions
- Supplier delays
- Labor availability
- Design changes
- Permit requirements
- Site conditions
Kodiak Gates & Iron will make reasonable efforts to complete projects within estimated timeframes but does not guarantee specific completion dates.
7. Gate Automation and Electrical Systems
Gate automation systems may include:
- Gate operators
- Keypads
- Access control systems
- Sensors
- Communication devices
- Electrical components
Kodiak Gates & Iron is not responsible for failures caused by:
- Power outages
- Internet disruptions
- Cellular service interruptions
- Utility issues
- Third-party equipment
- Customer misuse
- Lack of maintenance
Customers are responsible for maintaining automation systems according to manufacturer recommendations.
8. Repair Services
Kodiak Gates & Iron may provide repair services for existing gates, automation systems, railings, and related equipment.
Because repairs involve existing conditions and previously installed equipment:
- Repairs may reveal additional issues not initially visible.
- Additional work may be required after diagnosis.
- No guarantee is made that all existing defects can be identified during an initial inspection.
Recommendations are based upon conditions observable at the time of service.
9. Payments
Payment terms will be specified within individual project agreements, estimates, or invoices.
Kodiak Gates & Iron reserves the right to:
- Require deposits before beginning work
- Suspend work for non-payment
- Charge late fees where permitted by law
- Recover collection costs associated with unpaid balances
Ownership of fabricated materials may remain with Kodiak Gates & Iron until payment obligations have been satisfied.
10. Warranties
Any warranty provided by Kodiak Gates & Iron will be outlined in the applicable project agreement.
Manufacturer warranties may apply to:
- Automation systems
- Gate operators
- Electronic components
- Access control equipment
- Third-party products
Kodiak Gates & Iron does not warrant products against damage caused by:
- Abuse
- Misuse
- Accidents
- Vandalism
- Acts of nature
- Lack of maintenance
- Unauthorized modifications
Normal wear and tear is not considered a defect.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kodiak Gates & Iron shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages
- Incidental damages
- Consequential damages
- Loss of profits
- Business interruption
- Loss of use
- Delays beyond our reasonable control
In no event shall liability exceed the amount paid directly to Kodiak Gates & Iron for the specific project or service giving rise to the claim.

is owned by Kodiak Gates & Iron or used with permission.
